Oh my, it's been way too long since I've updated our blog! McKenna has experienced so many firsts since I last wrote. She eats solids (fruits, veggies, and meats) like a champ now, sits up all by herself, and is so close to crawling! McKenna sprouted two pearly whites, her two bottom front teeth, a few weeks ago and it's so cute to see her little teeth when she smiles. She's been drooling like crazy again with a runny nose so we are sure her top teeth are on their way! McKenna is a happy girl most days if she's napped well and isn't teething! She loves getting out of the house and takes everything in when we're out. She is constantly smiling at strangers, especially if they smile at her! She played the cutest game of peek a boo a few weeks ago with a little girl, probably 10 years old, while we were out to eat. It's amazing how she knew that she was playing peek a boo with a child, not a grown up!
McKenna has been such a champ the last few weeks with all the craziness we've had going on at our house. Deric was told at the beginning of December that his job along with 500 other jobs would be relocating to Ft Worth, TX. We have spent the last month and a half getting our house ready to sell, getting in on the market, and accepting a verbal offer within a day of being on the market! We had to be out of the house all day the first day it was officially on the market and McKenna didn't mind a bit! I unfortunately came down with a flu like bug so Deric stayed home thankfully and we all headed to the mall for a day of fun while our house was being shown. The mall was like Disney World to McKenna. She loved all the lights, the people, and getting to sit like a big girl in a high chair for lunch! We are so grateful that we are moving forward with our house and are officially under contract now. We will be heading out to TX soon for a house hunting trip which we are all excited about. I'm sure we'll have more adventures to share!
